unfortunately there isn't a module for this purpose yet. But you can create a custom module that takes all splines (i.e. paths generated from them) and creates the Volume. That can be used by the default modules then to create meshes, place objects etc.
Take a look into the Extrude module's source, it's not that complicated at all.
