I recently got Curvy Splines in the sale.
I've tried watching the videos which were pretty old, confusing and difficult to understand. Especially where I'm looking for specific information.
Are there any new short from videos explaining individual use cases coming out soon? I liked the production of the newer videos! Less background noise and easier to understand and more concise.
------------------------------------------------
I'm looking to use Curvy Splines to create complex, organic, and very realistic roads, pathways and objects in a game world.
Real roads aren't perfect or consistent when trying to recreate. I was looking for highly adaptable and customisable spline mesh extrusion.
The video looked impressive. The spline paths were easy to add where I wanted. But I instantly ran into issues with my Spline paths moving when trying to add a mesh through the generators to it. Trying to watch the videos was frustrating.
Here are my goals
1. Add my own road meshes along the path - where the path was originally set
2. Have the road meshes connect
3. Be able to change the road mesh at different knots (For complex road shapes)
4. Be able to widen the road mesh. Non-uniformly (More one side then the other for layby's for example)
5. Be able to create unique UV's to add constantly changing textures for different type of road markings
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I can create splines fine. Maybe if someone could explain how I add my own mesh, or just a plane along it I might be able to figure the rest out myself.
